What kind of computer is this by chance. I ask as I have tried
installing debian with the standered install though I am using the non
free firmware it still complans about nededing wifi drivers, but
downloading the firmware driver set from the debian site and then using
the advance

Your message is confusing to me, and maybe others.
Are you saying that you were using the non-free debian iso, you don't
say if it's 32 or 64 bit, but let's assume 64 bit so this file or the
larger one,
