It depends which image you tried. The gnome image should be fine.

You're right. It starts, and will say "welcome to orca" when you alt-tab, it
says "orca screenreader inaccessible" and will say "startiing orca
preferences" when you hit the space bar to start the prefs dialog.
Hope it's fixed soon.
