I am glad to learn that it is possible to be of some help on here. I will be

Thanks for the information. I placed the offending packages on hold until the
upgrade to the next gnome. When all this has been tested and uploaded,
please let us know.
It would really be a problem to have to downgrade all of gnome for something of

I wonder if it might be possible to ask the developers to pull out those

I would suggest not upgrading your machine to AT-SPI 2.7 or 2.8 until Orca 3.8
is uploaded to Debian.
