We'd need more details on what you did. What non-default options did you
choose during installation? Id
In Mate-Terminal or virtual console run this command notice the "O" is a
capital O.
spd-say -O
You should have some output modules.
Say you probably have espeak-ng, we will configure that.
As user, enter this command:
spd-conf
Your terminal will print this:
Speech Dispatcher configuration too

Please help - I've just installed Debian 11. The installation process
with speech went exceptionally well, however after the installation
was complete, it kept saying "this is the dummy output module. Your
