I filmed the boot up (with no desktop or GUI) using a digital camera, and hand
transcribed the boot up message.

If you can see your WiFi network that's good.
Start with it, perhaps reboot your router. Unplug it, plug it back in.

Yes! I was asked to choose wi-fi or eathernet. I chose wi-fi and connected to
it. It seems like during the installation process it was connected and it
downloaded all of the components that were needed.
After the installation process I tried to use the built-in mate network manager

I've had the same problem and had to connect to the internet directly
from the command line. If you need help doing it email me and I will
send you how to do it. When I was having my problem, someone sent me an
email on a work around but I don't remember what it was.

You are asked for the name and password of your Wi-Fi router during
installation. Did you select this when installing? You are given the choice
of Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, if you pick Wi-Fi, you will see a list of
possible connections, if you select yours, you will be prompted for a

Thank you i didn't know that there is a firmware non free cd netinstaller.
But my problem is that even when I try to install a firmware version it
