Hi,
just to let you know, the meeting might be streamed given we're finally
in a room with audio & video.
From the debconf site[1] that would be that link[2] to open in your favourite
media player.
1. http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf9/Streams
2. http://video.debconf
ed on WED, upper talk room, which has
audio/video, needed for Sam to demo the textspeech stuff.
We'll have it announced on the debconf lists and here once we have some
kind of confirmation.

Cool!
Sad I couldn't come this year. Will there be a live stream?

Hi,
Mario proposed that we organize a BOF during DebConf, so if there are
people out there interested in joining, that'd be great to get back to
me so I can try and plan something with FrontDesk. You can reply here or
though private mail with preferences, if any.
Meet you soon!

Hi. The subject basically says it all.
I would like to use the dialog interface to debconf instead of the
readline interface on the Debian access floppies. Does anyknow if this
can be done with a parameter at the boot prompt?
Thanks in advance.

This means that the package management scripts have to capture
all possible configuration combinations which could possibly occur
in a brltty.conf file, so that nothing gets lost.

The preferred behaviour would be:
1. Run auto-detection. If this is successful write the results to the
configuration file, or perhaps instead it should proceed to step 2
with detection results as the default.
2. Prompt for the braille display type and the port, writing the
results to th

as more and more displays tend to go the USB and on compiling it yourself

Hi,
I am an ALVA 380 user.
Is it somewhat related to brltty in Debian Installer?
If current D-I is intended to install brltty automatically in new
system and the new brltty package is used in D-I, there might be some
difficulty especially for new users.

Hi.
As you probably all know, BRLTTY currently has debconf support files
so that a nice dialog pops up upon install and asks the user
which type of display he has and where that is connected to (device file).
The necessary code behind it is a bit complicated, and needs a heavy
update for 3.5/3.6
