In a week, I am moving back to the jungles of Northeast India where
there is no internet.
Is there a release of debian that has the beep and orca/software speech
installation is known to be working?

Is there no software speech support for the full debian dvds?
I downloaded all 10 of them and when I start from the first one there is
no beep and no speech.
Does speech only work on the net install? This doesn't make sense.
I am trying to install last week's weekly build of testing...
