recompile of what is in unstable currently.
Another point is that the unstable version builds debug packages, so it would
be great after the backport is available, if you installed the -dbg and tried
to reproduce the crash of the sd_* module in alsa code with full backtrace.

Hynek mentioned that you need to provide backtrace of all threads,
tches against 0.7. I will
also look into how hard it is to cherry-pick changes from 0.7.1 into the 0.7
package, so that they could be included into the squeeze version of the
package.

Hello,

mentions BRLAPI),

But maybe you shouldn't give up the simplest, "blind'ish" solution
(brltty_3.5 w/ a Recommonds: flite) if compliant.
ps.: oh I know, what about libs?... Well, they have to closely follow
what they were provided w/, haven't they? So no
"apt-get install aptitude". It's
interactive UI uses ncurses, but cursor keeps on being acurate (far
better than dselect's one).

When Debian is installed, you do what you want :-) I suggest you take
the kernel config file into your brand-new sid and then recompile the
kernel with "the debian way" (

possible to "mix" different versions, etc.
There is notes about it in apt-howto (sections 3.8, 3.9, 3.10)
available from www.debian.org/doc/manuals/.
Hope it helps
