Greetings,
I just installed Debian Squeeze on a machine using the espeakup
installer. It worked very well. However, there is no ~/.local directory.
The orca configuration files are in the ~/.orca directory. I thought
that the ~/.local directory was introduced some time ago.
Any ideas?

Greetings,
I'm trying to use the Espeakup-squeeze installer on my laptop
which doesn't have an interface which agrees with my braille
display. The installer speaks allright, but far to fast for me
who never uses speech if I can avoid it. How can I reduce the
speech rate?

Hello, and a happy New year.
I'm not aware of any front end. However, I personally prefer

that Cuneiform supports many more languages, is faster and can

Problem solved. I deleted the orca directory structure and started again.
And it worked. I found out last night that it would be a good idea to run
