I fixed the problem, I could have done this with the earlier ISO, that was CD
ROM size.
But I used Rufus to write it, and it asks if I want ISO mode so I can access
the files later, or DD mode.

I've tried it with the net install CD size image, and now I've tried it with
the DVD size version of 11.7.

The file was defective, it didn't match the MD5SUM file.
I deleted the file and reloaded a good iso file.

I downloaded it again, but again Rufus says it got truncated and is missing
some of it again.
The first one didn't boot, but I will try this one because it is a bit larger.

It was operator error.
My system wasn't booting to my USB media, and when I did the actions to select
a boot drive, I got it to work with S and enter.
