Re: sound-icons integration with speech-dispatcher?

Hello Jeremy, As I can see, it's only sound events related to specific back-ends. I've never hear such sounds from speech-dispatcher, Orca doesn't provide such support. I've added Kendell Clark in CC that is more aware about this topic, see https://lists.debian.org/debian-accessibility/2015/

sound-icons integration with speech-dispatcher?

Hi, How integrated is sound-icons with speech-dispatcher? I'm asking because we are late in Ubuntu 18.04's release cycle and Ubuntu is considering lowering speech-dispatcher's Recommends: sound-icons to Suggests. If Ubuntu did that, what would Ubuntu miss out on? Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
