Hello,
I am having several problems with X on my 68K system: Amiga 2000, GVP030
combo card ( SCSI, 16M ram, 40 MHz). X had been working properly under
my Woody install but it has not worked properly since I updated my
system to Sarge.

Hello,
I have tried running dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 several times to
update my XF86Config-4 file. After running, I notice that the time
stamp for /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 has not changed nor have the changes I
made during the dpkg-reconfigure been saved.
Am I doing something wrong here

Hello,
I have been updating my Debian Woody system to Sar and I am having a
problem with the X window system. I have the system configured so that
X will come on at boot time and give a log in window. I also have a
stand-alone X Terminal which I want to be able to use. I had both items

d at boot time, though an xdm process still runs
to put the login on my X terminal (Envizex1 in the logs).

Hello,
For some time I have been having trouble getting the Sarge release of X to work
on my Amiga
2000 w/clgen video board. I hope the following additional information will
give someone
here an 'a ha!' moment that can lead me to a solution.
I reinstalled the x-window-system package, after h
://www.luminet.net/~lancetag/debian/startx.log for the signal 7
error generated by startx (and also occurs when X is started during
boot up.
Note that the xdm still works, as I have an Envizex X Terminal which
runs on this machine using the m68k xdm.
Suggestions?

Nikolay,
I solved these problems some time back, see:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-68k/2002/06/msg00022.html
for some startup-sequence magic. I put a file in my s: directory called
golinux, and when I re-boot, it boots up in linux. I then created a
script called linuxboot in /root, so I can
case because it has
nothing else to do. This is noted in FAQ and the example xsession file
that is part of the Sarge distribution. So, not to the Signal 7
problem.
Thanks,

Debian/m68k Team,
Please don't forget that there are still those of us out there who use the
Debian m68k system every day. I have been putting in too much time at my
day job to participate much here, but my A2000/030/40MHz/16M/9Ghd/8mm DAT

Hello,
I did try running Mozilla under Sarge on my Amiga 2000 with 40HMz 030
and 16M of 32-bit RAM with graphics going to my X-Terminal. I did work,
but it did cause the machine to swap like mad. Took about 5 minutes to
get it initially running. Once it was running though, response was

Installed. I see /etc/cron.daily has a new entry for popularity-contest,
so I'm going to assume that it should be good to go.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
For some time I have been trying to track down why I cannot get XDM
to start correctly at boot [1] under Sarge, where the system was
working properly under Woody. I believe XDM is giving up waiting for
the X server to start. Measuring the X server start time with "time X"
and closing the r
