Yes, starting up the Xfree4 from sarge in 16bit colordepth indeed succeeds! I can use FVWM2 now with reasonable speed, running FreeCiv and GIMP gives correct colors.
Only problem with this videomode is that my screen is only a bit larger

we'd need to sit down and write atari bitplanes support to the dbdev, if
I decode the message correctly.
Try starting X1

Title: Xfree 4.x problem on Atari Falcon CT60
Hi,
I've got Debian Sarge installed on my Atari Falcon030 with a CT60 accelerator card (provides MC68060 at 66MHz, SDRAM 512MB).
Next I wanted to get X11 to run on the Falcon builtin video device (Videl).
Now I understand from pre

Howdy,
My install of 3.0r0 is almost complete, but I am still having a couple
of problems. I'm using a Quadra 610 w/ 1gb SCSI drive and factory
everything else, extended keyboard and 1 button mouse.
Got the /dev/adbmouse and BusMouse settings, and set XkbDisable so that

Howdy,
I am having trouble configuring X as well, though I haven't had time to
rtfm. I set fbdev as the server, and /dev/adbmouse as the mouse, but I
can't figure out what the mouse protocol is supposed to be. Had no
problem when running potato.
Any pointers, or should we rtfm?
