RAM and install time: SE/30

2004-08-30 Thread Joe
A few weeks back I installed woody on an SE/30 with 8MB RAM and it took 8 days.   Now upgraded to 68mb RAM so I thought I'd see what difference it made.  Installation time was something under 5 hours (I went off so missed the exact time).   - Joe

Mac SE/30 install finishes...

It finally installed... 8mb RAM meant it took 8 days but it got there in the end and boots fine.   Doesn't seem to matter whether mode32 is in use or not?   - Joe

Mac SE/30 install taking forever

/30 has 8mb ram and loads of h/d space (like 32MB swap and 4-500 mb linux partition).   - Joe

Do any of you know of any options at all for the SE, or is it really just a doorstop these days? Thanks. - Joe
