Just a short heads-up: Both schroot and ssh should not be upgraded at
the moment on m68k installations since the common packages of these
two packages have newer version numbers than the m68k binary packages.
Simply dist-upgrading them will purge all of it and render a buildd
machine unusa

Isn't setting CONFIG_EARLY_PRINTK=y here doing just that? (default y
is
a Kconfig option, the above is directly set in defconfig)
The file boot/config-3.11-2-m68k comes not from defconfig but from the
deb, generated by scripts discussed earlier in this thread, see
