Unfortunately, my laptop has recently had its X crashing badly (needs a
reboot to be able to start X again).It's totally unpredictable (it can
work for days without a problem or crash multiple times in an hour);
I'm suspecting a hardware problem. I've tried upgrading stuff (kernel,
