I believe that 舒眠 “(maybe quiet mode)” is sleep mode, which on my air
conditioner at work gradually decreases the intensity over a few hours.

My experience with a few trips to China and Taiwan - speaking doesn't
help a bit, but reading/writing transfers enough meaning.
