So I am considering using LDAP for auth with DBMail.
Can someone explain how distribution lists would work with DBMail/LDAP?
i.e. [EMAIL PROTECTED] to all users in the sales department. Right
now I configure this as an LDAP mailAcceptingID with multiple maildrops.
Is this information held in LDA
I was having LDAP Auth problems too...
I fixed the problems by updating the openldap configuration to allow
ldap v2 bindings.
You might want to give that a try.
* Update slapd.conf file to accept V2 ldap
o allow bind_v2
* Restart slapd
* Restart dbmail, make sure you are usi
I just finished setting the same thing up today. Had some similar
issues. I'll post my full how to later today, but until then I have some

So I've been working on a simple way to scale / install the DBmail-Postfix
system we put together. The idea being that it takes just to many steps to
configure a complete new system, thus too long and prone to mistakes in
situations where we might really need a new box in a matter of hours not
