I have been moving messages between my old imap mail service (which I do not
have machine access to) and DBmail using outlook express and I consistently
can only move 5 messages at a time.
Coincedentaly this is the exact same number of dbmail-imapd processes on the
mail server.

Yes moving messages within to different folders in the one account isn't
the problem. It's moving message between folders in different accounts.
