i have just recently installed a new productive server with SuSe Linux
9.3, mysql 4.1.10, postfix and dbmail 1.2.11
the mailsystem works great and so far i haven't discovered any errors or
whatsoever ...
then I just did a nessus scan on the server and the nessus report

Is this a old system? How come u set up a old release if its a new
installation? the 1.2.11 are old
The new stable are the 2.0.x series..

The CVE you refer to is *not* about dbmail. It's about Xmail, a different
product all together.
That said: don't use 1.2.11 on a new system. Use 2.0.6 instead. 1.2.x is old,
and not maintained any more.

Just a quick note to say that i upgraded to this last week and (touch
wood) all is going very well, both imap and pop3 problems have gone and
our mail server is working well. Good work!
