After looking around and investigating, I started lmtp daemon and WHO, this
problem went away. I hope there is better documentation. However until now
my impression is that dbMail is great.

DBMail 1.2.11 is out. This version has a few fixes:
* forwarding to alias doesn't fail anymore when the alias also
points to a local recipient that is over quotum.
* IMAP now returns INTERNALDATEs with timezone information.
