I can not get pop-before-smtp work in my IMAP account. On my POP account
it works fine, any suggestions?.

Not to sure about this, but is it not just doing what is says "pop"before
smtp. Maybe look for imap-before smtp or configure it to listen on the imap
port for auth?

As Filip mentions, both POP and IMAP daemons can trigger the pbsp
database. However, there are two separate settings for this. Make sure
both are set to 'yes' in the configuration file
