I have two mailboxes 300MB each and the following system:
FreeBSD + postfix + dbmail + BasiliX-webmail + MySQL + Celeron 1200 +
380MB RAM.
Well I'm running dbmail with mysql and the interface was built by us
using php and it is really fast it might be that Basilix-webmail is your
bottle-neck , we are running it on a P11 with 256MB Ram but it is a P11
server
