The full procedure is the following:
1. open de po file
$ poedit de.po
2. on poedit, menu [Catalog], select [Update from POT file...]
-> select darktable.pot as sent in my original message

can I really use the master branche?
The de.po file was last updated on October 21. When I open the file with
poedit it shows the following:
translated 2298 of 2308, 10 untranslated
In your initial e-mail you had following figures:
de: 2286 translated messages, 112 fuzzy translation

Well, solved. Deleting darktablerc solved the problem. I have a
feeling that it had something to do with my locale settings (I was
messing around with them a few days ago), as darktable started with a
different language after deleting darktablerc.
