This is the first time to post cygwin-app ML.
I'm now using cygwin for octave, gnuplot and shell command etc.
For the Octave society, it is very famous that building octave
current standard gcc slows the octave
because the cygwin treats the silj-excep
ithout-x --enable-java-gc=boehm --disable-libgcj-
debug --enable-interpreter --enable-hash-synchronization --enable-
libstdcxx-debug

octave by the gcc in the cygwin package because it is too slow to use.

I did not still see the origin of failure in detail.
There is possiblity that the failure came frommy octave using Dwarf2
EH.

I tried the cygwin ftp source trees or grace web page.
Build processes thenseslves seemed to be done.
However, no binaries have been worked well at all.

So far everything is fine on gnuplot graphics_tool kit.
However, on fltk graphics_toolkit, fonts on the graph were not represent.

After that I have build gnuplot (4.6.5 and cvs) with wxt terminal.
On the plotting window of the terminal of gnuplot, there is a "copy to clipboad"

I have tried to build the recent cvs snapshot of gnuplot both on Cygwin-x86 and
Cygwin-x86_64.
The caca terminal works correctly on the Cygwin-x86. However it does not work
on Cygwin-x86_64.
First I have reported in the bug-ticket on the SourceForge of gnuplot.

Currently gnuplot 4.5(cvs) stopped to use latex2thml but start to use the
htlatex.
I have been used the latex2thml after installing it by myself.
I have searched the htlatex but I cannot find good information htlatex working
on cygwin.

now in the /usr/bin so that pstoedit is not working now. So I made a simbolic

I have also met the same problem and I have not been able to build Octave-3.1
branch.
I have an experience to build octave-3.1.50 on mingw.

my CPU.
In the make, I have encounterd the building error on the fltk library.

pipe.

I have build gcc-4.3.0 and test for build gnuplot and octave.
For gnuplot it worked fine and performance of a built binary is
pretty good.
However, for octave the gcc-4.3.0 cannot be use for built.

My suggestin is non-sense from logical sense but is a success story to build
gcc-4.3.2.
I have tried with gcc-3.4.4-3 on cygwin, the same error appeared.
I have compliled from gcc 4.3.2 (only C, C++, Fortran) from gcc 4.3.1, there

I have tried to install octave 3.0.2-2 through the cygwin setup.
Uninstall of octave 3.0.2-1 was successful but install of octave 3.0.2-2 was
failed.
The mirror site I have used
ftp.jaist.ac.jp(ftp), ring.aist.go.jp(ftp)
