.
I think either cygcheck is misleading in this case or
dlopen should check for basename of its argument to
open the dependent DLLs as well. I am speculating that
its the former.
Thanks,
Sunil
PS: One more thing, errno is set to 13 (permission
denied) after dlopen fails (although dlerror() pointed
inside connect() as is
evident from the strace in panel.log and all I get is
a blank gnome-panel.
As I said, all I have to do to get it to work is to go
back to 1.5.13 snapshot. I am not sure what changed
between 1.5.13 and 1.5.15 to cause this.
Thanks for looking into it.
Sunil
so, this means dlopen searches ${LD_LIBRARY_PATH} as
well, after RPATH?
thanks,
Sunil

this issue is not fixed in any later snapshots, not
even the just released 1.5.17.
can someone with the knowledge of cygwin socket code
comment on it please?
Thanks,
Sunil

y to find it in LD_LIBRARY_PATH (plus /usr/lib from
1.5.17). what happens in this case:
dlopen("/a/b/c.dll",...) and c.dll depends on
/a/b/d.dll. This dlopen of c.dll fails if /a/b is not
in PATH, although it is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I don't
think this is linux behaviour.
Thanks,

this might be famously true.

I found that less was not working...and got it fixed (copied "less" from
old binaries)
However still not been able to see the man pages.
When I run the man page it shows some empty lines and that's it.
Does someone know about this issue and the fix?

Sunil
