Make sure /etc/ssh_* files are readable for SYSTEM account.

But what the behavior of the script should be? The problem is that 2
packages have common file - /etc/inittab. The only solution I see is to
combine 2 packages into a single sysvinit+initscripts package.

The initscripts' inittab refers to the scripts from initscripts package.

cygwin1.dll built with this package do not work (the applications silently
exit immediately). I reinstalled binutils-20020706-2.tar.bz2 and got working

Cygwin has pseudo /dev directory, the device name mapping is
/dev/ttyS0 - com1
/dev/ttyS1 - com2
/dev/ttyS2 - com3
/dev/ttyS3 - com4
You can use both unix and windows device names to open a com port, ie
fopen("/dev/ttyS0") and fopen("com1") do the same, but I suggest you to
use unix-like names.

Don't you try to open a serial port from two processes? You can't do that on
Windows, Windows don't allow to share the serial ports.

I have the same problem while attempting to configure in cygwin source

is successful!
