What I can tell you is that I do know enough to be able to determine problem
functions in my program using gdb, but just not system calls.

The problem is that /usr/include/cygwin/icmp.h is blank and needs to be
"non-blank".
/usr/include/netinet/ip_icmp.h looks as follows:

Are there plans to support these two data types in the near future. I
just ran across this portability issue a few minutes ago. Using
