Hi folks,
I'm running v1.3 of Cygwin on Win2k on a laptop. My machine dual-boots
Win98 and Win2k, and my Win2k drive is G. Cygwin installed smoothly
under Win2k.
My problem is that dotted files like .bashrc have become inaccessible
with programs like vi and less. I didn't have a problem immedia
to 8.3. If I
rename files to 8.3, I can edit them. SO I don't think it has anything
to do with permissions.
Thanks for your continued help.
julian.

It's a little presumptuous to use a subject tag that does not include
cygwin. What does "[announcement]" mean to someone outside the cygwin
camp? There are hundreds of organizations that might want to make
announcements via email lists. What about "[cygwin-announce]".
thanks,
Julian Opificus.
