maintainer can tell if this is a general problem that he overcame
in some way or if this seems to be pinned to this installation. Might this be a problem
with a 64 bit Windows operating system?

Hello, we are trying to compile apache2 from the cygwin-supplied source
ouched for a long time might explain a lot.
I have all the dependencies anyway and will try the ports package ASAP.
