Hello list,
I have installed an up-to-date version of Cygwin on a Windows 8.1
machine:
$ uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-6.3 LEG570 2.2.1(0.289/5/3) 2015-08-20 11:42 x86_64 Cygwin
I have a problem with git. This is the installed version:
$ git --version
git version 2.5.1
After doing a 'git pull',

Pageant does the same thing as gpg-agent, but works on both sides of
the Cygwin environment.
Install the ssh-pageant package through setup.exe and put something
like this into the default shell

Dear list,
When testing Cygwin/MSYS2 on Wine, I found randomly failure of flock():
https://bugs.wine-staging.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466#c13
I ran MSYS2 with Wine+Valgrind, and found warnings like below when
calling flock():
7 ==19315== Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialised value(s)
It would be greatly appreciated if whoever maintains the FAQ could
update it to refer to mandb instead of makewhatis
Thanks!
