Hello there,
I wonder what is the general attitude towards providing SVN mirrors
for maintained packages and about using SVN for maintenance itself?

maintenance of cygwin packages through svn:externals mechanism?

I've just tried to install and run cygwin emacs 21.2.13 under Windows
Vista. I installed the x11 binaries and emacs lisp src along with the
distribution.
I start the xwin server and run emacs and it just sits in the
background spinning the CPU. I've tried emacs -q, emacs-nox -q to no
avail, same r
With a fresh install of cygwin-1.7 on a vanilla Vista system, I see that
the 'mv' command appends a .exe extension to the destination file for any
source files that have a .bat or .com extensions.
To reproduce:
% mkdir foobar
% touch foo.bat
% mv foo.bat foobar
% ls foobar
foo.
I have updated syslog-ng on cygwin.com to the latest stable release
2.1.1. The Cygwin version is built from the vanilla sources.
There's a -1 release for Cygwin 1.5.25 and, for 1.7 testing folks,
a IPv6-enabled -2 release.
Please read /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/syslog-ng.README for postinstall

You need to re-read the replies that you already received. The error is
not from make, it's from the KJxSvc program (whatever that is -- it's
not part of Cygwin) wh

Folks:
I am using windows-windows (not X) rxvt with the Virtual Dimension virtual

Sometimes when I switch back to a virtual desktop that has some rxvt

Thanx for the report and the test case. I've forwarded this to the
MinGW developer list and I'll follow up on it.
Cheers!
