NS02 under Cygwin installed, setting environment variables

Hi all, I have successfully installed Cygwin (all options) followed by NS-2 using the bash console. Upon finishing installation it tells me I MUST set some library and other environement details. Just where do I type in these paths? It doesn't say. Looking through faqs I can only find references

cygrunsrv, sshd, services and not starting after boot

I noted that a lot of people are having trouble getting the sshd service to start automatically. I think I discovered a problem. Run services.msc and selecting sshd) there is a "Path to executable" field that currently says :"C:\cygwin\bin\cygrunsrv.exe" Based on looking at some other entries
