./configure i get an error that the script can't find the ld command.
do i need it, is it possible that it wasn't part of my cygwin

compiling with cygwin for about 6 months. It use to
run fine on any computer as long as there was a copy
of "cygwin1.dll" along with the exe.
Now (ver 1.5.12) the app just hangs on any computer

quick follow-up release should fix the problems with "Argument list too
long" errors that xargs was experiencing.

I have "exception 0E" crashes and hangs using cvs on ssh with my win98se.
it doesn't always occur.
it refers to afvxd and ndis.vxd.
is this a repairable situation on win98. I prefer to not install xp if I can.
Hopefully this is fixable although I haven't yet found info about this.

Thanks very much for your help. I've been working on this some more,
and I think that the first solution is the better one. The follow is
executed, (excerpt from make's output) with the following errors too.
