I can reproduce this behaviour with various perls and
Win32::GUI versions on my laptop.
perl-5.10 is even worse than 5.8.
For now I would say that just this script is broken
(maybe the scintilla.dll again?),
the samples do work if called alone.
Why I'll have to investigate after my flight.
