Hi Dave, hi Cygwin developers,
I checked the contents of /proc//maps with the test program
below, both before and after waveinopen, with both cygwin1.dll
1.5.25.11 and the snapshot 2008-03-02.
The content of maps seems to be the same, with some differences in the
"permissions".

I got a repeatable crash using waveInOpen under Vista without SP1
(no SP1 for Italians until April) using cygwin 1.5.25(0.156/4/2) 2008-03-05,
on a HP Pavilion m9080 quad core with Realtek HD Audio.
