Hi!
I'm trying to use cURL within cygwin to load a website that requires
kerberos-authentication. I have read multiple guides I have found, and
I'm trying the following:
- Create the file /etc/krb5.conf and set the default_realm
- Run 'kinit' to request a kerberos ticket
- R

I can probably find some time to test a small installation. I'd
think most users would just want the client tools and the GSSAPI
integration in sshd to work. I'd be a little surprised if someo

Ports has provided heimdal for some time (heimdal is fully autotooled,
so it's a lot easier to build correctly than MIT-KRB5), but I

There's been a lot of interest in this over the years, but I've found
no reports of success. The following involves a number of hacks, but
it works, which may be of use to some.
1) Download and install MIT Kerberos for Windows -- I used
include a kerberos implementation (MIT or
Heimdal, for instance) along with kerberos support compiled into the
main openssh package? Are there any issues here that I'm not aware of?
I've tried to compile the MIT package a couple of times without success
but I don't know how much work
Hi,
I have searched through the main mailing list archives and not come up
with anything that seems even partially relevant except perhaps a recent
email regarding LSA which did not seem to address my exact question. Is
it possible for Cygwin to include a kerberos implementation (MIT or

Hi,
I have build Cygwin from cvs source with Kerberos option and sshd log still
shows as Unsupported option. Here are the details:
1) Build Command:
(/oss/src/configure --with-kerberos5 --prefix=/oss/install -v; make) >& make.out
2) sshd log:
/etc/sshd_config line 68: Unsupported

I was trying to get cvsnt to work, and at the
time it explicitly required krb, while the cvshome (now ximbiot)
"official" cvs merely had krb as an optional dependency.
However, I don't use kerberos, so I would be an ineffective maintainer.
Plus, I had (have) no intention o

The only reason that it is not an official package is that no one has
volunteered to do it. The packaging guide on the web site describes
everything necessary. But n
Hi,
I was wondering why (MIT) Kerberos is not an official cygwin package? There
are many cons for it:
1) Kerberos is very useful to many people (e.g. MIT, Stanford, government
agencies, large companies). It looks like it is becoming even more popular
with Microsoft and the major Linux

Hi,
Is kerberos support enabled by default on the latest binary ssh that comes
with Cygwin? (OpenSSH_3.7.1p2)
I've just installed it and ran it with KRB5CCNAME set to my TGT's
location (klist reads it fine), but it still asks for a password.
Do I need to compile kerberos suppo
