deleted a Cygwin desktop icon
and two Cygwin folders from my Start > All Programs menu. Is that
sufficient to give me a clean uninstall so that I can do a brand new
Cygwin install without problems? I did it that way because I
couldn't figure out any other way of uninstalling Cygwin.

I wanted to update my old cygwin (installed under
C:\cygwin), so I installed the new one under
C:\cygwin1. Then I deleted the old one, and renamed
the new one to C:\cygwin. However, most programs did
not work. Instead of sorting out the paths, I decided
to do a fresh install all over again. I del
