Just for completeness... the following occurs on Cygwin64 (I don't have Cygwin32) After the upgrading to binutils-2.24.51-1 and mingw64-*-binutils-2.24.0.0.5a026fc-1, rebuilding some my applications [*], I see this message (and similar for i686-pc-mingw32, x86_64-w64-mingw32, x86_64-pc-cygwin
