Dan, The "~/.inputrc" measures will only affect Readline. (And only in the shells? Only in BASH?) If your Vim is beeping, then you need to tell it in its own way: ":set vb" or ":set visualbell". And neither of those things is going to keep the Cygwin terminal dri
