Dear Cygwin,
I am trying to get the X Windows to work, I must be doing something wrong. I
read the FAQ and manual but no go. I have Cygwin/X installed on a Windows 7
Desktop.
I type Startxwin or xwin and just get a xterm to the server ? I got some
directions I am gonna try tonight.
I was able to get my profle to run a script, but what I want is to create a
shortcut to an ftp script, then create another shortcut to a menu script, and
create another shortcut to another script.
I am hoping I can be able to do this.
I had them in a folder numbered to do a process like 1 -
Can some on give me a help with creating a shortcut to a shell script under
Windows 7 ?

My old shell software would let me have a path as :
X:/INBOUND/CWSCRIPTS/myscript.sh
To access this shared X drive under Cygwin it seems I have to do this :
/cygdrive/X/INBOUND/CWSCRIPTS/myscript.sh

I have been reading the manuals and documentation and have some newbie
questions.
1) When I go to execute a script, do I just type the name of it or do i have
to do a ./NameOfScript ?
2) I am trying to do an Alias of the Clear Command ... in my bashrc I has an
alias

I am exploring the idea of moving some scripting from the MKS toolkit to

I have all of these korn shell scripts that I use to poll our EDI mailboxes,
translated the EDI, ftp files to various servers, etc.
