Networking services on Cygwin

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I did not find in the documentaion the steps to start srvices like ftp, telnet etc. I did run xinetd though, but running telnet, ftp etc do not work and I could not find ways to troubleshoot other than the few messages I see in /var/log/servicelog. Thanks, Koundinya

Gv on cywgin

Cywin Users, I have installed the complete distribution of cygwin and don't seem to have missed out anything and when I tried to view PS documents with gv, I get "interpreter failed error". I did see so many threads on this all over internet, but I was not able to get my gv to open up a .ps

Problems compiling lyx

Hey Cygwin users, I'm having problems compiling lyx using g++ version 3.3.1 (more specifically during the linking of various objects). I've attached a clip of the final build log. Please have a look at this. Any help or pointers on this will be much appreciated at this time as I'm blank on

xforms for cygwin

Cygwin Users, I pressed hard to put this question to the mailing list as after googling for nearly two hours now, I've not been able to find information of a xforms package for cygwin. If anyone of you are aware of this or have anything to say on this, I will be more than glad. Thanks Kou
