DEVS: PLEASE file the missing error message text in strace (a
cygwin-specific program!) as a bug, as the error message isn't missing
(and replaced with cryptic "error 2") on other platforms.

Strace always provides the same error message, while vimdiff changes
the message slightly each time, sometimes adding a few extra other
error messages afterwards. You can see more instances of the vimdiff
error in the second attachment.

I'm running cygwin (x86) on Win7 x86-64. When I try to vimdiff or
strace, I get the attached error messages (extraneous content
removed).
