To add to my original question:
Once cygwin is installed, how can I check what option I had chosen for
the file format ?
Can this option be changed to chose the other format after cygwin is
installed?
Thanks

I need it to run a perl script which will execute a java command .
Example: in the script it says thefollowing:
java -classpath $CLASSPATH myprogram argument1 arg2
The problem is that though echo $CLASSPATH shows the correct classpath
to the jar

Hi,
I am absolutely new to perl and cygwin, so apologize if the question
appears trivial to you. I have been asked to write a perl script which
will work on unix and can be ported
To windows also. (I have searched through the archives).
