so I misread that one.

things like
line endings or "install for current/all users" once installed, so what's the
point of keeping 1 in the package manager? plus I think it might be a good
idea to have the second stage being a "pure cygwin" app which is impossible

software/lib, it can be any license. He doesn't have to provide source code
for distributed binaries either, but just point out that it's free software,
and if ever asked for source code, point at a place to get
any php CLI script or configure it as a CGI under apache or
lighttpd.
- you didn't explain your situation well, so we can't help you until
you make things clear, which up until now, is exactly the opposite.

How is this better than simply using rxvt?
I used rxvt for some time but puttycyg rolls better for me.
- I remember accented chars (french) often got messed up and that was
a pain to fix.
- I never manager to make rxvt display special chars correctly (mc and
others look like crap without them) an
hen I switched to rxvt based on this shortcut, and discovered only
recently that rxvt pops up a console window and that my shortcut
thingie was a heck of a workaround.
So I concluded that running .bat files/console was definitely to be
promoted on my list of Most Annoying Things Ever.

titasking, except for one task. And on task
completion, context backswitching doesn't work too well and you end up
messing your work.
Nice cocktails though.
(Now I'll hide that window before my beloved catches me spitting
stupid misogynic jokes like this.)

cp /etc/php.ini.default /etc/php.ini

ln -sf /etc/php.ini /opt/php/lib/php.ini
that's all. cli+cgi/fcgi on one run.

lWork(tm) prevented me to come to
something close to distributable. I'll certainly continue someday, but
I wonder if anyone willbe interested by such a script in the future
(when it'll be usable by someone else than just me)?

Is there a way to run it in a console other than the default DOS-like box?
rxvt (setup) and puttycyg (google) might help.
there's even a reg key to tweak that flush delay
but it seems I can't put the finger on it anymore.
Of course I just find it minutes after posting...
it's in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
add a DWORD of name AlwaysUnloadDll and give it a 1. Though it's
ad
k against changed file on the disk and
you should wait a bit before relaunching a cygwin process? That seems
somehow inconsistent though.

Sure. And running sshd as a privileged user is just wicked. If we
follow the reasoning to the end: sshd is run under a XYZ windows
account, that has a private share //foo/bar, c
so I guess this is really about shares...
It's not really about shares, it's more about the user sshd runs
under, and which happens to be sent to the share auth system.
