accessing networked drives

I am unable to access network drives from an xterm started using startxwin ("C:\cygwin\bin\run.exe /usr/bin/bash -l -c /usr/bin/startxwin"). However, if I run cygwin.bat (and start an xterm from there) the network drives seem to work fine. What am I missing? ouput from net use below: Thanks,

After updating to the latest Cygwin distribution, I can no longer connect to X server. When I run startxwin (on a fresh Cygwin install), I get the following errors: xinit: giving up xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused xinit: server error The XWin.#.log looks okay, I think (
