version of setup I used was and still is the latest version.

I'd downloaded, I ran into one of those "setup.exe has
performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"
dialogs after pressing OK.

idea re what's going on? I did
suggest in a posting a few minutes ago that it might
be because of problems with i686-pc-cygwin on an i586,
but I don't really know.

In fact, is there any sort of document detailing where
to find the source for the functions defined in , say,
header ? (organised by header)? If not, are there
any plans to include such a document in the Cygwin
docs?
