When I run Cygwin subversion command (svn) with a Windows formatted
path (C:dir1dir2...), for some reason it prepends the current
directory (${PWD}) in Cygwin format (/cygdrive/c/...) to the target
path in Windows format
of the same svn.exe executable that I use under Cygwin (thus
having the best compatibility; its the same tool running). Obviously,
my IDE provides paths in Windows format to svn.exe; this is how I found
the bug.

Yep, My uid was > 64k. I changed it to an arbitrary < 64k number in /etc/passwd and
it works fine now.
Thanks to you and Igor for the help.

Mmm... stupid question, but how does one get the full user id on a windows machine?
I search Google groups, but could not find any reference to this. If my user id is
not 18544, how can I find which one it is?
Sincerely,
Hans Deragon
