Hi all-
I am trying to run this:
./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 \
--prefix=$MINGWROOT \
--enable-debug \
--with-{freetype,sdl,png,jpeg,gl}=$MINGWROOT \
--without-{fontconfig,sndfile,gettext,iconv} I get this for an error
msg: checking for FreeType...no

No worries. I found this great tutorial .
https://x.cygwin.com/docs/ug/setup.html I only had to install a very few
files to get the cmake gui. I am off to try to work in soci with cmake.

Hi-
I kind of hoped that when I selected cmake gui from Cygwin mirror that it
would know which dependencies I needed. I tried to launch it by typing
cmake-gui into mintty and it did not load.
I installed PostgreSQL for win 10 and then installed the command line tools
for Cygwin and that went well
