Hi all,
The (original) mingw compilers essentially come in the flavours mingw64,
ucrt64, clang64.
The mingw compilers available via cygwin install are the mingw64 ones.
This means they are based on the old M$ C runtime msvcrt instead if the
new ucrt one.
Woild it be possible to offer the ucrt6

- Cygwin bin (last) in the Windows (DOS) path
The desktop link is

This scenario gives me a strange problem with antrun: With i always get the WSL bash instead of the Cygwin one,
although Cygwin is first in PAT
Dear Cygwin experts,
Since a few days i get mmap failures when issuing git pull (fatal: mmap
failed: Resource temporarily unavailable).
This is on Windows 7, a suspect is a recent Windows update, does anyone
see this too?
My cygwin installation is recent / up to date.

With xdg menu i observe a small glitch, namely german umlauts are not
displayed correctly but rather their two byte representations are shown.
The xdg menu ist started when i launch the X11 (XWin) server and shows
up as a small icon at the lower right next to the X11 icon.

I routinely update my Cygwin installation by simple selecting install at
the top level in the Cygwin installer.
With this "give me all" approach there are some packages lying around i
never use (lilypond, clamav ...) but thats not an issue for me and i
consider not having to explicitely select
